Dr. Ravi K. Mehrotra founded the Foresight Group in 1984 with a vision to build an international enterprise rooted in integrity, resilience, and long-term purpose. A marine engineer by training, he began his professional journey in 1964 with the Shipping Corporation of India, rising through dedication and excellence to the position of Chief Engineer before moving into international leadership roles.

Drawing upon decades of experience in global maritime and industrial sectors, Dr. Mehrotra established Foresight as a platform for building enduring businesses across shipping, offshore drilling, infrastructure, and related industries. Under his leadership, the Group has grown into a diversified international enterprise known for operational excellence, professional governance, and a deep commitment to long-term partnerships.

Dr. Mehrotra’s contributions to the maritime and offshore industries have been widely recognised. In 2006, he was awarded the honorary title of Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. He has also received numerous international honours for his leadership and contributions to global shipping.
