Thanks to a joint venture with Chinas Jin Jiang Group, the first Indian Restaurant in China – The Tandoor, opened its doors in 1993, with locations in Shanghai and Guangzhou making up the two venues in operation today. Referencing the historic connections between China and India and the Silk Road, the restaurants are renowned not only for their Indian veg food in China, but also their visually stunning settings and welcoming atmosphere.
International awards have confirmed Tandoor’s place among international restaurant serving the very best of what Indian food culture has to offer, having claimed accolades such as Best Indian Restaurant from Trofeo International De Turismo Y Hosteleria and Best Indian Restaurant from World Quality Commitment International Star Award.
